This page attempts to bring together in one location links to machine-readable
files of texts in Indic languages. The organizing principles of this page are
still far from clear. It is clear, however, that all the texts that are listed
below need to be encoded according to the guidelines of the Text Encoding Initiative.
Dunhuang Collection: IDP Interactive Web Database
The International Dunhuang Project (IDP) was established in 1993 following a
meeting of conservators from all over the world to promote the study and preservation
of manuscripts and printed documents from Dunhuang and other Central Asian sites
through international co-operation. The secretariat is at The British Library
in the Oriental and India Office Collections.

Electronic texts of scriptures in Devanagari script (with English ITRANS Transliteration).
Devanagari fonts also available.
Sanskrit Texts and Stotras
Study Sanskrit, read Sanskrit texts, or listen to Vedic pundits chant. This
site contains a wide variety of Sanskrit texts and stotras in the pdf format,
which you can view or print for your personal use. Most of the texts are in
Devanagari script with English translation.

This site contains Kiyoshi Okano's "A Descriptive Bibliography of Sanskrit Literary
Works of Buddhists," which was published in 1998. This book offers information
on publications and manuscripts of Sanskrit biographies of the Buddha, Buddhist
poetic works, and Avadaana literature. The site also has Kiyoshi Okano's papers
on Buddhist Sanskrit literary works.
