The following courses have materials available online. An * character next to a title means that access to the digitized files is restricted to those registered for UW-Madison courses which use the materials. Login names and passwords for these materials are available ONLY from your instructor. To listen to the files, you must have a sound card in your computer, and a media player installed on your computer. To use the online materials, click on the appropriate link for your course to view a more detailed listing of the media available. Further instructions to play or save the media files are found below. Click on the Archive graphic below for free language sets not currently in use.

Playing the Media Files:

Click on the hyperlink on the detailed media listing to automatically play the media. If you encounter problems, check to see that you have a sound card in your computer and a media player installed on your computer.

Downloading the Media Files:

If you wish to download the media to your hard drive or a zip disk, hold down the shift key (PC) or the option key (Mac) while you click on the hyperlink. You'll see a "Save As" dialog box appear. Navigate to an appropriate directory or drive and click on the Save button to save the file. The media files will be too large to fit on a 3 1/2 floppy diskette.
