Dear Friends and Colleagues:

It is an honor and pleasure for me to invite you to the 15th Japanese / Korean Linguistics Conference.

This conference aims to provide a forum for presenting research in Japanese and Korean linguistics, thereby facilitating efforts to deepen our understanding of these two languages, which have striking typological similarities.

The 15th JK conference has been made possible by general supports from the Northeast Asia Council (NEAC) of the Association for Asian Studies, the Korea Research Foundation, the University of Wisconsin-Madison Annonymous Fund, the Department of East Asian Languages and Literature, and the Center for East Asian Studies.

I personally extend my warm invitation to each of you, and I hope to see you here in Madison in October.

Naomi H. McGloin
