Michael Fox specializes in the literature and thought of the Hebrew Bible. He also works in Egyptian literature and its relation to biblical literature and in the ancient Greek and Syriac translations. His books include studies of the Song of Songs and the Egyptian love songs, Esther, Ecclesiastes, and Proverbs. He is currently writing the second volume of the Anchor Bible Proverbs commentary.
